July 4th

We played for a few hours at a private party at the palatial home of a friend of ours in the hills of Orange last Saturday afternoon.  Joining us on bass and drums were Larry Chronic Jr. and Gary Chronic (the Chronic Bros).  We had a blast playing with these guys and hope we’ll be joining forces with them on a frequent basis henceforward.  We were also very lucky to have the terrific sax player Dannie Hofmann sit in with us for a few songs.  Nobody threw us in the pool!

Saturation Fest

As we did a year ago, Dry River performed at Saturation Fest, a big art & music festival held over the Memorial Day weekend in Riverside. We played at Back to the Grind again, on Saturday afternoon, before the main shows started.  We had a half-hour slot, and here’s our set list:

Divided 4 Love

Shine Your Light on Me
Death Comes Knockin

(Jerry McCain)
Cypress Grove Blues
(Skip James)
